Applicants of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) must submit a referee form, also known as a guarantor form, during the screening process. This article provides a downloadable link for the NSCDC guarantor form and outlines the qualifications for acceptable referees.
Overview of the NSCDC Referee/Guarantor Form
The NSCDC requires that all applicants have their referee form filled out and signed by two responsible individuals who are reputable members of society. Applicants themselves should not fill out this form. Instead, it must be completed in the handwriting of the guarantors.
Important Information for Guarantors:
- Ensure you personally know the applicant to avoid future complications.
- The form must be filled out by you, not the applicant.
Qualified Persons as NSCDC Referees
Acceptable referees for the NSCDC guarantor form include:
- Traditional rulers
- Magistrates
- Local Government Chairmen
- Secretaries to State or Local Governments
- Heads of Educational Institutions (e.g., Principals, Rectors, Provosts, and Vice Chancellors)
- President Generals (PG) of towns or communities
Note: If a career civil servant serves as your referee, they must be at least Grade Level 12. Fire officers must not be below the rank of CSF, or a paramilitary or military officer of equivalent rank or higher.
