Job Purpose:
The Accountant role encompasses various finance functions, including cost control, financial reporting, treasury operations, and taxation, within the oil and gas industry.
Job Dimensions:
- Budget preparation, monitoring, and performance analysis.
- Financial statement preparation and consolidation.
- Compliance with SOX controls and tax regulations.
- Treasury operations oversight.
- Support for partner and authority budget reviews.
Activities:
- Monitoring and analyzing GL accounts.
- Accrual process management.
- Tax computation and filing.
- Treasury operations reconciliation.
- Assistance with regulatory filings.
- Fixed asset accounting and reporting.
Context & Environment:
- Work locations in Port Harcourt or Lagos.
- High-pressure working conditions.
- Interfacing with various stakeholders.

Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Less than 3 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
