Position: Accounting Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

We are currently looking for a qualified individual to fill the position of Accounting Officer. This is a key role within our organization, and we seek a candidate who can demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial management, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and oversee daily accounting operations.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for management and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
• Provide support in budget preparation and forecasting.
• Assist in financial audits and assist in the implementation of cost-control measures.
• Ensure the timely preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
• Review and reconcile accounts, and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.

Requirements

• A BSc or HND in Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or related fields with a minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally in a leasing or vehicle rental company.
• Alternatively, candidates with an OND in Accounting and at least 10 years of experience in financial and management accounting, including reporting, are encouraged to apply.
• High proficiency in computer applications and accounting software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.

Salary: Negotiable, based on experience.
