Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient collection of outstanding invoices and payments. You will work closely with project managers and finance teams to foster positive client relationships, address billing issues, and support the financial health of the company.
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, your responsibility will extend beyond just collections—you will be instrumental in improving the company’s cash flow and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Regularly follow up with clients on overdue invoices via phone calls, emails, and personal visits, maintaining a professional and courteous approach.
- Prepare and send client statements, reminders, and collection notices in a timely manner.
- Develop strategies to improve collection processes and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
- Provide management with detailed reports on collection activities, outstanding accounts, and potential risks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client communication and payment statuses within the company's financial system.
- Collaborate with project managers to resolve billing discrepancies and address client concerns promptly.
- Support the finance department in monthly closings, audits, and reconciliation processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts receivable, collections, or related financial roles.
- Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients.
- Experience in a project-based organization is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in financial management software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with the renewable energy industry is a plus.
