African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing food security and improving livelihoods for smallholder farmers across Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) through innovative partnerships. AATF collaborates with African governments, technology developers, NGOs, seed companies, and farmers to identify and provide access to agricultural technologies that address key challenges faced by farmers.
Registered as a charity in England and Wales, and with host country status in Kenya, AATF relies on the support and collaboration of various partners and investors to achieve its mission.
We're currently seeking an Admin Assistant to join our team:

Background:
Under the AATF Special Initiative for Strengthening Cassava Agro-Processing and Digital Solutions (ASIST-APOD), AATF has acquired innovative cassava processing technology for producing high-quality cassava flour without the need for peeling. This initiative aims to leverage digital tools to improve access to mechanization services and agronomy support, establishing a centralized cassava processing facility accessible to village-based processors. This role reports to the Project Coordinator and involves maintaining and repairing the processing plant.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support, including filing, photocopying, and diary management.
- Input and manage data in databases and electronic filing systems.
- Handle correspondence, emails, and incoming mail, forwarding them to relevant staff.
- Organize meetings, events, and visits, including issuing papers and ordering hospitality.
- Record information to support minutes production and draft minutes.
- Monitor office supplies and assist in travel arrangements and event bookings.
- Deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage own workload to meet objectives and adhere to organizational policies.
- Maintain organized file systems and process invoices for payment.
- Utilize office equipment and perform basic bookkeeping tasks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate or Diploma in relevant disciplines (e.g., Records/Information Management, Business Management).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Minimum one year of relevant experience.
