The UK Mission in Nigeria comprises over 500 staff members, organized into thematic blocks and enabling teams to deliver on key outcomes outlined in the Country Plan and NSC Nigeria Strategy. Among these teams, the National Crime Agency (NCA) plays a crucial role in combating serious and organized crime, safeguarding the public's interests.
As an NCA Administration Officer based in Lagos, Nigeria, you'll be integral to managing administrative aspects of ongoing projects, including budgetary responsibilities, procurement, and coordinating with various stakeholders. Your role will involve liaising with internal and external partners, maintaining databases, and providing support to the NCA Nigeria Team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage project budgets and reconcile financial records.
- Collaborate with FCDO procurement and administrative partners.
- Liaise with NCA Finance, Procurement, and Commercial Departments in the UK.
- Support in planning law enforcement partners' capability enhancement.
- Maintain databases and records related to training and assets.
- Coordinate with external partners for budget management and reconciliation.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the NCA Nigeria Team.
- Ensure value for money (VFM) through engagements with external suppliers.
- Plan and arrange travel for NCA and external partners.
- Analyze and record budget expenditure and forecasts for NCA Projects.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
