As an Application Developer, you will guide IBM into the future by translating system requirements into the design and development of customized systems in an agile environment. Your Role and Responsibilities
- Solution Development: Utilize multiple technologies to address functional needs and convert designs into functional and technical specifications.
- Application Support: Provide and/or oversee business application functional support services to meet performance, availability, service level agreements, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Project Management: Ensure adherence to project management, software application development, testing, service management, change management, root cause analysis (RCA), and other relevant processes, standards, governance, and controls.
- Project Planning: Plan and manage medium to large-scale, complex, integrated application or platform projects to ensure effective and efficient execution in line with scope, timeline, budget, and quality guardrails.
- Design Reviews: Perform design reviews and help define coding best practices within the team.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java 8 and above, Spring Boot, REST API design and development, Spring Cloud, Spring Data/JPA/Hibernate.
- Database Management: Experience with SQL Server/DB2.
- Containerization: Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration (OpenShift/Kubernetes).
- Messaging Systems: Familiarity with RabbitMQ/Kafka.
- CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps/Drone.io.
- Monitoring & Alerting: Proficiency in monitoring and alerting tools like AppDynamics/Prometheus.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Additional Technologies: Familiarity with ELK stack, Grafana, and AWS.
