General Admission Requirements
For postgraduate admission at Nile University, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Five O’level credits in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE (O’ level) including English and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings.
- National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge Certificate or Letter of Exemption.
- Three referee reports.
Note: When registering, all students must present their credentials, including certificates/degrees. Additionally, students must have their official transcripts sent directly from their previous institutions to Nile University.
Postgraduate Diploma Requirements
Candidates must be graduates from Nile University or any other approved university with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Higher National Diploma holders with upper credit are also eligible. Candidates with lower credit may still be considered if they score at least 50% in a qualifying exam administered by the university.
Duration of Postgraduate Diploma
- Minimum: 12 months
- Maximum: 24 months (full-time)
Graduation Requirements
To graduate, students must:
- Register for and earn between 36 to 40 credits.
- Score at least 50% in the weighted average of their best 36 credits.
Course Classification
- Distinction: 70% and above
- Credit: 60% – 69.9%
- Pass: 50% – 59.9%
- Fail: Below 50%
Master's Degree Programmes Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least a second-class lower. For the MBA (Executive) programme, candidates must have a degree or professional qualifications such as HND (Upper Credit), ICAN, ACCA, ACMA, AIB, ACIS, etc., and a minimum of five years post-qualification experience.
Duration
- M.A., M.Eng., M.Sc.: Minimum of 18 months
- MBA/MSc: Minimum of 24 months
Students can apply for an extension of up to 12 months if necessary.
