Job Description
As an Area Sales Manager at Airtel Nigeria, you will maximize revenue and subscriber acquisition in your assigned territory by enhancing channel effectiveness and implementing strategic sales and marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Recharge Sales Target Achievement
- Ensure availability of all recharge denominations in sub-CP and retail points.
- Monitor channel partner stock availability and distribution.
- Achieve ERC, RCV, and E-pin targets.

Gross and Net Additions
- Drive market initiatives to meet Gross Adds targets.
- Manage activation teams and monitor channel partner activation activities.
- Develop initiatives for new site launches and quality GAD activation.

Channel Branding and Visibility
- Implement effective outlet branding according to the "look of success" strategy.
- Manage POS stock to prevent damage and waste.
- Train market developers on POS deployment and visibility opportunities.

BTS Management
- Develop subscriber acquisition strategies for CLS site locations.
- Prepare for new site launches and ensure distribution readiness.

Competitive Intelligence
- Report competitive activities and implement counter initiatives.
- Track market initiatives and escalate unusual competitor activity.

Distribution Infrastructure
- Recruit retailers and migrate them to a one-stop shop model.
- Identify suitable sub-channel partners for effective product redistribution.

Customer-Driven Activities
- Implement product launches and town storms to enhance voice and data business performance.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Marketing, Business Management, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Master’s in Business Administration or Management is an advantage.
- Project management qualification is preferred.
Relevant Experience & Skills
- 3+ years of commercial/business management experience.
- Team leadership and product/service development experience.
- Strong interpersonal and customer orientation skills.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in Airtel products.
- Proficient in computer literacy and sales knowledge.
