We are seeking an AWS Platform Architect to join our Data Cloud Architecture team and engage with customers in a pre-sales capacity. This role requires extensive experience in architecting solutions on AWS, solving innovative problems in a fast-paced, agile environment. Ideal candidates will be familiar with data architectures such as Lake, Warehouse, Mesh, and Fabric, and excel at translating customer business problems into a Snowflake vision.

Key Responsibilities
- Present Snowflake technology and vision to both executive and technical audiences.
- Establish yourself as a Trusted Advisor to key customer stakeholders.
- Lead project teams towards common goals, accelerating the adoption of Snowflake solutions.
- Develop intellectual capital for the broader Snowflake pre-sales team.
- Collaborate on and create integrated solutions on AWS relevant to other customers.
- Maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors.
Qualifications
- University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a solutions architect, data architect, database administrator, or data engineer.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the data analytics stack and workflow, from ETL to BI and analytics tools.
- Hands-on experience in SQL, data warehousing, cloud data, analytics, or ML/AI.
- Extensive experience with large-scale infrastructure-as-a-service platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficient in implementing data security measures within the Snowflake platform.
- Internal and/or external consulting experience.
- Collaboration experience with Account Executives and Sales Engineers on account strategy.
Preferred Experience
- 1+ years of practical Snowflake experience.
- Big 5 consulting experience.
- Familiarity with non-relational platforms and tools for large-scale data processing (e.g., Hadoop, HBase).
- Experience with common BI and data exploration tools (e.g., Microstrategy, Looker, Tableau).
- OLAP data modeling and data architecture expertise.
- Expertise in core verticals such as Financial Services, Retail, Media & Entertainment, Healthcare, Life Sciences, etc.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $176,000 - $252,000.
- Eligibility for Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.
