Position Overview: Seibi Technician
Toyota's TMNA Body Production Engineering Department is seeking a passionate Seibi Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in inspecting and preparing new or modified equipment for manufacturing production. Reporting to the Seibi Manager, you'll support our objective to deploy or modify welding equipment, ensuring seamless new model launches and manufacturing production changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform offline and/or online robot programming.
- Verify that new model equipment meets established standards and functions as intended.
- Prepare and confirm new Body weld equipment at vendor sites.
- Support weld machine Seibi activities at North American Manufacturing Companies from installation through production start-up.
- Develop equipment countermeasures during setup and trials.
- Engage in travel to various locations, including U.S., Canada, Mexico, and international travel to Japan, Canada, and Mexico. Expect overtime, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Associate technical degree or higher, or equivalent experience.
- Current SEIBI or Body weld maintenance experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite; Toyota experience preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 75%, including international travel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field.
- 1+ years of Toyota PE Seibi experience.
- 3+ years of Automotive industry experience.
- Experience in mentoring or technical training.
