What is “Let’s Build, Africa!”?
“Let’s Build, Africa!” is not just a program; it's a strategic initiative crafted to uplift startups poised for cross-border growth by providing them with the necessary guidance and support to navigate new market ecosystems. At CcHUB, we are committed to fostering economic integration and innovation throughout Africa.
Goals of the Program
Our program is designed to achieve the following objectives:
- Facilitate Cross-Border Expansion: Assist startups in gaining insights and accessing new markets across Africa.
- Strengthen Intercontinental Ties: Foster collaboration and investment opportunities between startups and local stakeholders in target markets.
- Boost Economic Integration: Contribute to Africa's economic integration by facilitating easier market access for innovative businesses.
By the program's conclusion, participating startups will have made significant strides in entering new markets, forging valuable partnerships, and positioning themselves for investment and expansion. This will substantially enhance intra-African trade and collaboration, thereby propelling economic growth and innovation across the continent.
Key Components of the Program
The “Let’s Build, Africa!” Program encompasses several crucial components to bolster startups:
- Pitch Sessions: Startups will have the platform to pitch to potential partners, collaborators, and investors, showcasing their products and services.
- Travel and Ecosystem Tours: Participants will embark on tailored ecosystem tours in one of the focus countries: Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, or Namibia. These tours will include personalized meetings with potential customers, collaborators, and investors.
- Post-Tour Support: Following the ecosystem tour, startups will receive six months of support to fortify the market linkages established during the tours.
- Market Opportunity Packs (MOP): Startups will gain access to comprehensive insights into the countries they will visit, enabling them to understand market dynamics and seize opportunities.
- Showcase Opportunities: Participants will have the chance to showcase their products to a curated audience of collaborators, investors, and potential customers, amplifying their visibility and growth prospects.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the “Let’s Build, Africa!” Program, startups must meet the following criteria:
- The startup must be registered in an African country.
- At least one of the founders must be an African national.
- The startup should be at the scale-up stage.
