Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the BOSU Post UTME and Direct Entry screening, candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. University Preference:

• Borno State University must be your first choice in the 2024 UTME.
• A minimum score of 150 is required in the UTME. Some programmes may have higher cut-off marks. For specific programme requirements, refer to the BOSU cut-off mark information.

2. Academic Merits:

• Candidates must have obtained a minimum of five credits in O’ Level exams, including English and Mathematics.

3. UTME Subject Combinations:

• Candidates must have taken the appropriate subject combinations relevant to their chosen course in the 2024 UTME.

4. Direct Entry Requirements:

• Direct Entry candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Hold at least five credits in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics.
  • Have a minimum of 9 points in NCE, a lower credit in ND/HND, or a Second Class Lower Division in a degree programme.

5. Change of Course:

• If your score does not meet the cut-off for your chosen programme, consider changing your course to one that matches your score via the JAMB portal.

6. Uploading O’ Level Results:

• It is mandatory to upload your O’ Level results on the JAMB website. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
• If you are awaiting results, select ‘Awaiting Result’ during application and update it once the results are available.

How to Apply for BOSU 2024/2025 Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening

Step-by-Step Application Guide:

1. Visit the BOSU Website:

   • Navigate to the official BOSU website and select the ‘PORTAL’ option.

2. Access the Post UTME Portal:

   • Click on ‘New application’ under the Post UTME portal.

3. Login:

   • Use your phone number as both your username and password.

4. Make Payment:

   • ATM Card Payment: Click on ‘proceed to payment,’ select your card type, enter your card details, and confirm with the OTP sent to you. A fee of N2,000.00 will be deducted.
   • Bank Payment: Select a bank, print the e-invoice with your Remita Reference No., and pay N2,000.00 at any commercial bank. Ensure you collect a receipt from the bank.

5. Return to the BOSU Website:

   • After completing the payment, return to the BOSU website, select ‘existing applicant,’ and log in with your phone number.

6. Choose Your Programme:

   • Select the undergraduate programme you wish to apply for.

7. Enter O’ Level Results:

   • Provide your O’ Level results (up to two sittings). Direct Entry candidates must also enter details of their diploma or statement of result.

8. Upload Documents (For DE Candidates Only):

   • Upload all required documents, ensuring each file is between 200kb and 300Kb in PDF format.

9. Review and Submit:

   • Carefully review your application details before submission.

10. Print Your Application:

    • After submitting your application, print the confirmation page for your records.
