We are currently seeking qualified and experienced individuals to join our team of IELTS Speaking Examiners in Lagos, Nigeria. As an IELTS Examiner, you will conduct one-to-one interviews with candidates to evaluate their spoken English proficiency and assess written scripts produced under exam conditions. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to language excellence in Nigeria and make a positive impact on the lives of aspiring English language learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-to-one interviews with IELTS candidates to assess their spoken English proficiency according to set requirements.
- Evaluate written scripts produced by candidates under exam conditions.
- Maintain confidentiality and security protocols throughout the assessment process.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and candidates, demonstrating sensitivity to cultural differences.
- Uphold professional standards and act ethically at all times.
Essential Requirements:
- An undergraduate or master’s degree, or equivalent qualification.
- A TEFL/TESOL qualification from a recognized institution (minimum Certificate level), or equivalent EFL/ESOL-related studies.
- A minimum of three years’ full-time TEFL teaching experience, primarily with adult students (16 years and over).
- Professional attributes including attention to detail, effective communication, respect for others, cultural sensitivity, and responsiveness to guidance.
