About the Team
The Transformation Design & Delivery team, part of Payment Operations, is pivotal in driving CIB-wide transformation and change programs. Our mission is succinct but impactful: "build things better and build better things." We ensure that our initiatives are well-conceived, high-quality, sustainable, and delivered promptly. We strive to identify and create innovative solutions across products and lines of business, fostering collaboration to define broad-reaching solutions.
As a member of the team, you will engage with Operations, Product, Client Service & Implementations, and Technology & Testing teams to develop the product management function and strategic direction for the Payments Investigations function. This role also involves contributing to the firm-wide ISO 20022 program led by Global Clearing Product. This program aims to standardize global financial messaging, improving payment data quality, timeliness, transparency, and overall transaction efficiency.
About the Position
The Business Analyst and Product Manager - Associate will drive initiatives under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and influencing skills, strategic thinking, and a collaborative approach. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating project execution for Operations planning, prioritization, and readiness in line with the Swift ISO20022 market go-live roadmap.
- Identifying current processes, change requirements, and business needs to support Business Analysts and technology Subject Matter Experts.
- Acting as a Business Analyst to define business requirements for developing and commercializing new product capabilities.
- Articulating and documenting process flows, including customer interactions and Operations intervention.
- Covering functional and non-functional requirements, such as Product features, Operational needs, Regulatory and Compliance requirements, User Interface, Client reporting, Sanctions, Resiliency, and Scalability.
- Conducting impact analyses for business initiatives to determine necessary technical or operational process changes.
- Partnering with Product and Technology teams to define globally consistent platform architecture.
- Performing gap analyses to assess the extent of change required from business initiatives.
- Collaborating with the UAT team to develop testing strategies and ensure thorough testing of all capabilities.
- Tracking project progress, identifying potential issues, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
- Driving Operations readiness for new product rollouts, including documentation of process flows, operational procedures, training, user entitlements, and establishing an escalation matrix.
- Anticipating internal and external factors impacting global payment strategies, and implementing plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Analyzing defects, prioritizing issues, and exploring alternative solutions.
- Leading initiatives independently while working with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Banking or Financial Services.
- Strong knowledge of Payments and/or experience in managing large-scale strategic projects preferred.
- Proficiency in Agile methodology and experience in managing projects within this framework.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker capable of defining future-state business models and driving execution.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Attention to detail with a logical thought process.
- Self-motivated, with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Experience in designing, delivering, and presenting executive-level content.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience working in a matrix organization and high-performance teams.
- Ability to leverage organizational resources to achieve results efficiently.
