Qualifications and Responsibilities
- Experience: Proven expertise in Supply Chain Management, particularly in Procurement/Buying.
- Education: BSc or HND in a relevant field.
- Skills: Strong integrity, high initiative, exceptional customer relations, and effective communication skills.
Role Summary
The Buyer will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations by meticulously planning, sourcing, purchasing, and distributing materials for designated business units. This role ensures that required materials are procured on time, every time, and at optimal prices to meet customer demands efficiently. The successful candidate will analyze material usage in relation to revenue for each assigned unit, aiming to maximize profitability and support our continuous growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on criteria such as cost, quality, and delivery capabilities.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure materials are available as needed while minimizing excess.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable conditions.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast material requirements and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
