Position: Cargo Manager

Job Purpose
As the Cargo Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving market awareness and maintaining high sales and service standards to maximize revenue, tonnage, and yield. You will oversee all aspects of export and import operations within the territory, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
Job Outline
- Manage and lead cargo employees, fostering a disciplined and motivated workforce in compliance with corporate and local regulations.
- Develop and execute sales and operational strategies within the assigned territory, providing feedback on local market conditions and competitor activities.
- Negotiate agreements with new and existing clients to optimize revenue and tonnage.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures, contributing to safe and efficient cargo operations.
- Prepare annual budgets, monitor performance against objectives, and enhance productivity and profitability.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders including handling agents, airport authorities, and suppliers to optimize cargo uplifts and capacity utilization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience in Cargo Operations & Sales, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in Dangerous Goods regulations and Advanced Load Control, with relevant licenses preferred.
- Strong PC skills (Microsoft Word/Excel/Email/PowerPoint) and a valid driving license.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in the local language is advantageous.
