Job Purpose
As a Checker at International Breweries Plc, your primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently handle materials, ensuring compliance with governance and customer service standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards:
- Ensure compliance with stacking regulations and site housekeeping standards.
- Wear designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Implement and adhere to Vital Process Optimization (VPO) and Daily Process Optimization (DPO) protocols.
Loading and Unloading Activities:
- Verify correct quantities of split and full pallets for loading.
- Conduct thorough product counts during loading and unloading processes.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation.
Stock Quality Management:
- Enforce stock rotation principles to meet warehouse stock age standards.
- Perform quality checks on packaging before loading.
- Uphold VPO and DPO protocols for quality control.
Inventory Management:
- Participate in shift handover processes.
- Conduct daily stock counts and communicate effectively with inventory personnel.
- Ensure clear and efficient communication with relevant stakeholders.
Cost Control:
- Adhere to fuel usage standards and minimize idling time.
- Implement safe driving principles to reduce breakages and missing items.
Profile
- Minimum OND qualification in a relevant field.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to change.
- Strong mathematical and computer literacy skills.
- Familiarity with SAP software is advantageous.
- Demonstrated self-management capabilities.
