We are currently seeking to hire a Code of Business Conduct and Compliance Manager to join our team in Lagos. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work structure.
Job Overview
The Code of Business Conduct and Compliance (COBC) Manager plays a critical role in upholding and strengthening Coca-Cola HBC's culture of compliance. As a key member of the team, this individual will be responsible for establishing and promoting standards and procedures designed to prevent, detect, and address unethical, illegal, and improper behavior. The COBC Manager will oversee the adherence to Coca-Cola HBC’s Code of Business Conduct (COBC) and other important compliance policies, such as the Group Anti-Bribery Policy. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively across multiple functions, and a commitment to ethical business practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Compliance Investigations: Lead and oversee investigations related to COBC matters in the assigned business units (BUs). Ensure all compliance-related issues are appropriately addressed in a timely manner.
- Conduct Audits: Carry out Anti-Bribery audits and other compliance-related assessments to detect and mitigate risks.
- Reporting and Analysis: Track, analyze, and report on all COBC matters to relevant stakeholders, ensuring full transparency and accountability.
- Collaboration with Teams: Collaborate closely with the Audit, Security, HR, and Finance teams to address compliance risks and ensure smooth implementation of compliance initiatives.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and conduct training sessions to raise awareness about COBC policies. Create campaigns that promote the use of the CCH Speak Up! line to enhance reporting mechanisms across the country.
- Promote Fraud Awareness: Share insights and lessons learned from investigations to promote fraud prevention, working with various teams such as RBA Audit and IC teams.
- Lead E&C Committees: Chair local Ethics and Compliance (E&C) Committees, ensuring the timely submission of reports and aligning activities with the Head Office (HO) E&C Committees.
- Policy Support: Support the Legal department and other internal functions in evaluating and enhancing policies and compliance programs.
- Ethical Leadership: Maintain high standards of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in all professional and personal dealings.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 7 years of professional experience in investigation and compliance functions, particularly in areas related to fraud prevention, misconduct investigations, and regulatory compliance.
- Education: A University-level Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), ACCA, or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) are required.
- Skills: Strong project management skills, decision-making ability, and excellent communication skills. A proven ability to write clear, concise reports for management and effectively present findings.
- Investigative Expertise: Experience in conducting complex internal investigations, particularly related to fraud and misconduct.
- Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, track, and mitigate compliance risks effectively.
