The Communications & Information Officer will support AU-IAPSC's programmes, providing strategic public relations and communication efforts. Responsibilities include coordinating the Plant Health Information System and managing AU-IAPSC's media presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement communications programmes promoting AU-IAPSC activities.
  • Serve as the Editor for the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC).
  • Maintain databases, manage media relations, and support publications.
  • Provide public relations and editorial support across platforms.
  • Manage AU-IAPSC’s website and ensure timely content updates.
  • Develop media materials such as press releases, brochures, and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Management, Journalism, Public Relations, or related fields.
  • 2-5 years of experience in communications, preferably within international or government organizations.
  • Proficiency in AU working languages such as English, French, Portuguese, or Arabic is a plus.
