Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Compensation & Benefits Manager to join our Human Resources team. This role is crucial in ensuring that Sahara Group remains competitive in attracting, retaining, and motivating top talent through well-structured and market-aligned compensation and benefits programs. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, analyzing, and managing compensation structures, benefits policies, and incentive programs across our global operations.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure that compensation and benefits programs align with company policies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Evaluate and propose enhancements to compensation structures and benefits packages to maintain competitiveness and fairness across all business locations.

Develop, implement, and update compensation and benefits policies in Nigeria and other international locations.

Design and manage the Group’s Compensation Philosophy, ensuring alignment with business strategy.

Conduct market research and salary surveys to benchmark compensation structures and benefits packages.

Provide strategic input on compensation trends, employee engagement strategies, and reward systems to senior management.

Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding salary structures, benefits, and incentives.

Collaborate with external partners, including benefits vendors, insurance brokers, and financial consultants, to optimize service delivery.

Ensure compliance with local, federal, and international labor laws and employment regulations.

Manage the administration of payroll, bonuses, long-term incentives, and other compensation-related processes.

Monitor and analyze compensation trends to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with business objectives.

Play a key role in mergers, acquisitions, and consolidations by assessing compensation integration strategies.

Prepare government filings, oversee plan audits, and fulfill tax-reporting obligations related to employee compensation and benefits.

Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to inform executive-level decisions on compensation strategies.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.

8–10 years of relevant experience in a Compensation & Benefits specialist role, preferably within a multinational organization.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS database management.

HR Professional Qualification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) is mandatory.

Comprehensive understanding of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices across multiple geographies.

Proven experience in employee relations, industrial relations, and handling employment legislations in diverse jurisdictions.

Excellent financial acumen, budgeting, and cost-management skills.

Expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating compensation structures and benefits programs.

Professional qualifications such as ICAN or ACCA are an added advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
