We are currently seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join our team remotely from Lagos. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring that all organizational activities comply with legal and regulatory standards.
About the Role
As a Compliance Officer at Quidax, you will be responsible for managing compliance efforts within our organization. Your key duties include:
- Performing risk assessments to gauge the level and significance of risks.
- Staying updated on relevant laws and regulations.
- Reviewing new products, features, and partnerships to ensure compliance.
- Responding to regulatory requests and collaborating with departments to foster a culture of compliance.
- Monitoring adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Providing compliance training and advisory to various business functions.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Address inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate with different departments regarding compliance matters.
- Provide compliance advisory on business operations.
- Audit processes to identify gaps and recommend solutions.
- Review transaction alerts, analyze data, and prepare reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Excellent research, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proven experience in compliance and risk management.
- Knowledge of financial crime and anti-money laundering regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in startups or cryptocurrency industry.
- Compliance certification (e.g., CAMS, CAFCA, DCP).
