Job Summary: Condition Monitoring Expert II
The Condition Monitoring Expert II will remotely monitor machine health and coordinate information distribution to ensure machines operate efficiently. This role involves data analysis, handling complex service alerts, and providing technical solutions to increase productivity and reduce risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data analysis and generate reports using technologies like ultrasound assessments, vibration analysis, and oil analysis.
- Use data analysis tools to identify asset risks and advise customer maintenance teams on reducing machine downtime and failures.
- Evaluate machine information and provide proactive corrective actions based on technical data and component specifications.
- Analyze data trends to determine causes of issues and recommend preventive actions to avoid failures and reduce costs.
- Utilize sensor data to detect and isolate component degradation before significant damage occurs.
- Lead cadence calls and respond to technical inquiries from customers, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Triage incoming customer inquiries and manage or escalate appropriately.
- Present asset health reports and critical technical findings to management and customers.
- Communicate actionable recommendations through technical, statistical, and predictive data analytics.
- Guide customer technicians in troubleshooting and data collection, providing on-the-job support for corrective actions.
- Review device installations, validate data accuracy, and offer insights on newly monitored equipment.
- Conduct customer training and consultations on monitoring data interpretation and corrective actions.
- Provide excellent customer service through regular and ad-hoc meetings.
- Assist customers in calculating cost savings and identifying continuous improvement projects.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and 4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with industrial manufacturing environments and predictive maintenance activities.
- Advanced understanding of machine diagnostics and complex operating systems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Desirable Certifications
- Working towards Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level I certification in Ultrasound, Thermo/Infrared, and Vibration.
- ISO CAT I certification in Lubrication/Oil Analysis.
- ISO CAT II certification in Vibration.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate.
- Use of telephone with headset for troubleshooting, keyboard and computer for documentation, and occasional use of office equipment.
- Occasionally lift/move over 30 pounds and use close/color vision.
- Work typically performed in a moderately noisy office environment.
