Job Description
What’s the role?
As a Control Room Operator, you will execute production and first-line maintenance (FLM) activities in oil/gas fields, ensuring that production targets are met while adhering to SPDC standards in safety, compliance, and operations. You will also monitor equipment, troubleshoot process issues, and ensure operational efficiency in the plant. Additionally, you will participate in the Emergency Response Team as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate oil and gas facilities (flow station or gas processing plant)
- Perform routine production and maintenance operations
- Ensure compliance with SPDC's Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSES) standards
- Monitor plant parameters and troubleshoot any operational issues
- Conduct equipment performance reviews and assist in emergency plant operations
- Collaborate with the team to ensure safe and efficient plant operations
Requirements
- OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Analytical ability to assess risks and troubleshoot equipment in dynamic situations
- Experience in oil and gas production is an advantage
