Job Summary

As a Data Analyst at Watt Renewables, you will be at the forefront of transforming complex data into valuable insights that drive strategic decisions and enhance our business operations. This role demands a detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in data analysis, statistical modeling, and programming. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple departments, providing data-driven solutions to meet organizational goals and challenges.

You will play a key role in shaping the company's growth by leveraging data to support sustainability initiatives and operational efficiency. Your expertise will help guide decisions that have a meaningful impact on the renewable energy industry in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather, clean, and validate large datasets from diverse sources, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Data Analysis: Apply statistical techniques, data mining methods, and advanced analytics tools to interpret complex datasets.
  • Insight Generation: Identify key patterns, trends, and correlations within data to provide actionable insights.
  • Model Development: Build and maintain predictive models, statistical algorithms, and frameworks for data-driven analysis.
  • Dashboard Management: Develop, maintain, and update dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
  • Visualization: Create clear and impactful visualizations, reports, and presentations to communicate data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and support business initiatives through data analysis.
  • Data Quality Management: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues by working collaboratively with relevant teams.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis to continuously improve processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python/R, Advanced Excel, Jupyter Notebook, and SAS.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role within a data-driven organization.
  • Strong academic background from a top-tier institution.
  • Hands-on experience with statistical modeling and data visualization tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical methods, data mining techniques, and data analytics tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, especially when working with large and complex datasets.
  • Ability to present complex data insights clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
