The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral, and independent organization dedicated to protecting the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and violence. We are currently seeking a Data & Analytics Officer to enhance our operations in Abuja.
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Protection Data Manager, the Protection Data Analytics Officer will support data management processes within the Protection department of the ICRC Delegation in Nigeria. This role is critical for enabling evidence-based decisions and improvements in data entry, quality, support, and analytics. Additionally, the officer will assist in the organization of the Protection Office through various administrative tasks.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage physical and electronic filing systems for Protection documents.
- Organize and track filing arrangements for Protection of Family Links (PFL) cases.
- Clean and merge closed individual cases received from the field.
- Ensure compliance with filing rules and procedures for individual files.
- Oversee archiving and timely sharing of documents with Geneva.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mails from various offices.
- Manage inventory for the Protection team and coordinate supply needs.
- Liaise with internal departments for the needs of the Protection Department.
- Regularly update job descriptions and the protection organization chart.
- Serve as the focal point for the Information Management Unit.
Education and Experience Required
- University degree or equivalent higher education in Administration, Social Sciences, or Library and Information Science/Management.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role.
- Advanced English proficiency; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
