Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Data Centre Lead to join our Lagos team. This role is crucial for managing and maintaining our asset portfolio, ensuring compliance with statutory and legislative requirements, and driving operational excellence in data center and network facilities management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage data center layout, environment, capacity, and property management.
- Oversee business continuity plans, disaster recovery, and issue management.
- Implement heat and smoke detection systems and fire suppression measures.
- Ensure 99.5% power and cooling availability at all data centers and central office locations.
- Review and manage collocation and facility contracts, ensuring favorable terms.
- Conduct monthly governance meetings with service providers to review performance and implement improvements.
- Process contractor payments promptly and manage contractor performance.
- Ensure timely delivery of customer services and proactive fault detection at all sites.
- Drive the setup and installation of essential systems for new builds, ensuring compliance with project timelines.
- Provide oversight on service delivery and contractor management.
Qualifications and Competencies
- University degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science (Minimum 2.2/Upper Credit).
- Proven experience with multiple suppliers and vendors.
- Background in Telecommunications with a track record of technical achievement.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure automation and safety management systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of Nigerian and global IT and Telecommunications industries.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Telecommunications Operations management.
Salary
N500,000 monthly.
