Job Opportunity

We are seeking motivated individuals to fill the position of Data Enumerator (Outlet Survey) for the Private Sector Market Analysis (PSMA) project. This role is crucial for gathering quantitative data to support our efforts in understanding and improving the private sector market for antimalarial commodities in Nigeria.

Position Details

  • Locations: Edo, Gombe, Kano, Kogi, Imo, and Osun
  • Employment Type: Short-Term Contract (12 Days)
  • Duration: September - October 2024
  • Activity: ACT Market Survey on the Private Sector Market Analysis (PSMA)
  • Openings: 25 positions across the following states:
    • Imo: 4
    • Osun: 4
    • Gombe: 3
    • Kogi: 3
    • Kano: 8
    • Edo: 3

Purpose of Assignment

The Data Enumerator will play a key role in collecting data for the PSMA project. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting data collection using quantitative tools such as questionnaires and observational checklists across six states.
  • Ensuring a minimum of three electronic responses are submitted daily for the 12-day survey period.
  • Engaging with PPMVs and pharmacists to gather information in the assigned state.

Scope of Work

  • Identify and engage eligible respondents for quantitative data collection (Outlet surveys) using the KoboCollect platform on an Android device.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data before uploading to the KoboCollect database.
  • Submit signed timesheets and support qualitative data collection from key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the private sector market analysis of antimalarial commodities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Statistics, Public Health, or a related medical field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in public health research, field activities, and data collection.
  • Strong report writing skills for quantitative surveys.
  • Candidates must not be current employees of any government ministry or agency.
  • Proficiency in using Android devices for data collection.
  • Fluency in the local language of the state, residency in the state, and proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to synthesize and present findings, draw conclusions, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Experience in leading evaluations, surveys, and data analysis is highly desirable.
