Job Description

As a Data Officer at Newrest Nigeria EPZE, you will play a pivotal role in managing and analyzing data to support various aspects of our operations, especially within the airline catering and hospitality sectors. You will work closely with the finance, operations, and production teams to ensure data accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with global standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Winrest Data Capturing and Analysis: Responsible for capturing, analyzing, and maintaining data in Winrest software to ensure operational and financial accuracy.
  • Recipe Calculation: Assist in the calculation of recipes in line with global standards and internal guidelines, ensuring precise ingredient usage and compliance.
  • Menu Costing: Conduct menu costing based on specific requests from airlines, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
  • Waste Analysis and Reduction: Perform monthly waste analysis and provide strategic recommendations to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
  • Project Management: Lead new projects related to system improvements, ensuring seamless integration of new tools and technologies.
  • Checklist and Data Utilization: Carry out regular data checks for all airlines and ensure effective utilization and presentation of operational data.
  • Staff Training: Provide support to department managers through training and refreshers on updated processes, especially those linked to Winrest systems.
  • Safety and Hygiene Compliance: Ensure adherence to company standards, food safety protocols, and health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly and periodic Winrest Data reports, assisting in improving data management processes.
  • Operational Tools Management: Monitor and enhance the usage of operational tools such as Winrest tablets and other production floor tools.
  • Resource Forecasting: Assist in the monthly forecasting of resources, ensuring the efficient allocation of materials in the production processes.
  • KPI Management: Prepare daily kitchen production plans, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and follow up with relevant reports.
  • Database Management: Ensure the integrity and reliability of databases, implementing best practices for data accuracy and management.
  • Other Tasks: Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Winrest Lead, contributing to the overall success of operations.

Profile

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and presentation techniques relevant to production workflows.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in the airline hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in numerical analysis and strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • A minimum of an HND or equivalent qualification in business-related fields or similar disciplines.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • A working understanding of inventory management systems.
