Demand Manager Opportunity at PZ Cussons in Lagos

Job Summary
As a Demand Manager, your responsibilities include maintaining master data in APO for demand planning, ensuring system hygiene, and utilizing historical sales trends for baseline statistical forecasts. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams during the business planning cycle, actively participating in New Product Development (NPD) stages, and coordinating Monthly Forecast Consensus Meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain APO master data for demand planning.
- Collaborate with Customer Services and Deployment Planner for system hygiene.
- Use historical sales trends for baseline statistical forecasts.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams for sales forecasting during business planning.
- Actively participate in the NPD stage and gate process.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales for input on product launches, portfolio optimization, and promotions.
- Establish and maintain forecast analysis and reports for decision-making.
- Coordinate Monthly Forecast Consensus Meetings and follow up on agreed actions.
- Load agreed forecast volumes into APO before the 1st Friday of each month.
- Proactively identify demand forecast risks and develop mitigation plans.
Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent in Finance or Business.
- 3 to 5 years planning experience in an FMCG environment.
- Meticulous and analytical approach to data.
- Interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Innovative, proactive, assertive, courageous, and persistent.
- Two years relevant operational experience in areas such as Sales, Customer Service, Supply Planning, Marketing, or Finance.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
- Relevant certification is an additional advantage.
