NVIDIA is seeking a passionate and world-class computer scientist to join its Compute Developer Technology (Devtech) team. This role offers a unique opportunity to research and develop cutting-edge techniques to GPU-accelerate leading applications in high-performance computing fields, including machine and deep learning, scientific computing, and data processing. You will perform in-depth analysis and optimization to ensure maximum performance on current and next-generation GPU architectures.
Responsibilities
- Application Development: Work directly with key developers, especially those focused on Large Language Models (LLM), to understand the current and future challenges they are addressing. Develop and optimize core parallel algorithms and data structures to provide the best solutions using GPUs, contributing both through library development and direct application enhancements.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with NVIDIA’s architecture, research, libraries, tools, and system software teams to influence the design of next-generation architectures, software platforms, and programming models. Investigate and assess the impact of these designs on application performance and developer productivity.
- Travel: Attend conferences and participate in on-site visits with developers as needed to stay abreast of industry trends and maintain strong relationships.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (Master’s or PhD preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Fortran, with expert knowledge of software design, programming techniques, and algorithms. Strong mathematical fundamentals, including linear algebra and numerical methods. Experience with parallel programming, ideally with CUDA C/C++ and OpenACC.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Logical approach to problem-solving, effective time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
