Role Overview
As a Technician II at Penske, you'll be a key player in our team, trusted to perform independent repairs and diagnostics. You'll handle preventative maintenance and road tests, mentor new technicians, and continuously expand your skills alongside experienced peers and managers. Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification preferred.
- Experience with major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) and OEM training courses preferred.
- Proficient with diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 100 lbs.
Additional Requirements
- Must adhere to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety policies.
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Must pass background and drug screenings, and comply with DOT regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, and sitting.
- Regular use of hands for handling tools and controls.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Lift and move weights up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
