M&T is currently recruiting to fill the position of E & I (Electrical and Instrumentation) Engineer. This role is critical to supporting our EPF operations and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of electrical and instrumentation systems within our facilities.
Job Summary
The E & I Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective maintenance programs for all electrical and instrumentation systems associated with EPF operations. The role involves working with the maintenance team to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency in our facilities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all electrical and instrumentation equipment across the plant.
- Conduct routine checks on electrical and instrumentation systems in processing plants, compressor sites, and gathering systems.
- Develop new control systems to enhance safe operations and improve performance.
- Analyze operating data from SCADA and other systems to monitor operating efficiency, pressure levels, and system performance.
- Schedule and manage system shutdowns to facilitate new well connections and system improvements.
- Collaborate with the maintenance support team to develop, verify, and review system maps, piping designs, process flow diagrams, E&I diagrams, and P&ID's for boosters.
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on instrumentation, electrical, and control systems across EPF operations.
- Test, maintain, and modify existing systems to ensure efficient plant operations.
- Diagnose faults and repair instrumentation such as transmitters, pressure and flow gauges, emergency shutdown systems (ESD), relief valves, control valves, and other control systems.
- Analyze data and compile detailed reports on findings, ensuring that issues are identified and resolved promptly.
- Maintain work order status logs and provide comprehensive equipment repair histories.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- A minimum of HND, B.Sc., or B.Eng. in Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering.
- At least 7 years of experience in instrumentation, control, or process flow facilities.
- Proficiency in the use of engineering software and computer systems.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to build and manage effective teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret design and installation specifications for instrumentation, control, and process equipment.
- Professional membership such as COREN and NSE is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with as-built drawings and their interpretation is essential.
Job Dimensions
- 14/14 rotation schedule.
- Locations include Obi Anyima Flow Station, LACT unit, and drilling locations.
