Eduardo Camavinga Extends Real Madrid Contract Until 2029 with Billion Euro Release Clause
Real Madrid and France midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga, has recently committed to a contract extension with the Spanish La Liga giants, securing his stay until June 30, 2029. This notable contract includes a substantial billion euro release clause, mirroring recent agreements made by fellow players, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
Camavinga's journey began when he joined Real Madrid in August 2021 from the French Ligue 1 side, Rennes, at the tender age of 18. His impressive career with the Spanish giants has seen him make 114 appearances. In the current season, he has started eight of Real Madrid's 12 league games.
Camavinga's success is underscored by his collection of six trophies within his first two seasons in Spain, including the 2021–2022 UEFA Champions League title.
On the international stage, Camavinga made his debut for France in a Uefa Nations League match against Croatia in September 2020, earning the distinction of being the youngest senior France international in 106 years. He has since gathered 12 caps, participating in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Notably, Camavinga began his professional club career at the age of 16 years and 4 months, making him the youngest player to represent Rennes.
Originally signing a six-year contract with Real Madrid in 2021 for £27 million, keeping him with the club until 2027, Camavinga's commitment has now been extended by two more years, along with improved wages.
