In this role, you will be responsible for processing payments to vendors and staff while maintaining accurate financial records. Your duties will include forecasting payables, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting financial reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage payment documents and financial records.
- Update transaction postings in accounting modules.
- Ensure timely payment of statutory remittances.
- Monitor tax compliance in daily transactions.
- Reconcile creditor accounts for accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in compliance reviews and audits.
- Optimize profitability by taking advantage of supplier discounts.
- Disburse cash to staff as needed.
- Provide timely financial information to management.
- Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements.
- Support external audits and tax filings.
- Liaise with other departments for financial account preparation.
- Contribute to budget preparation and process.
- Maintain daily cash books and process payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts and update financial software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or CPA) is a plus.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
