Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the factory adheres to local, national, and international environmental regulations and industry standards. Regularly monitor and report on environmental metrics, including air emissions, wastewater discharge, and waste management, while maintaining compliance with legal limits.

Waste and Resource Management: Lead waste management programs, focusing on recycling and the environmentally responsible disposal of industrial waste. Promote sustainable practices, such as the reduction, reuse, and recycling of materials.

ESG Compliance: Support the factory’s alignment with corporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals. Help prepare ESG reports, conveying environmental performance to stakeholders, including the board and regulators.

Risk Management: Conduct environmental risk assessments and devise mitigation strategies to address potential environmental hazards. Ensure the factory is prepared for emergencies related to spills, emissions, or hazardous waste leaks.

Environmental Monitoring & Reporting: Implement and manage systems to track environmental performance, covering areas such as air quality, water usage, and waste production. Regularly report environmental metrics to regulatory authorities and company management.

Sustainability Initiatives: Drive initiatives to reduce energy, water, and waste consumption in manufacturing processes. Collaborate with teams to introduce resource efficiency projects, such as water recycling, waste-to-energy systems, and sustainable sourcing of materials. Set and track sustainability goals aligned with corporate objectives.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards.
- Expertise in waste, water, and energy management systems.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage environmental audits and interact with regulatory authorities.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Experience in sustainability reporting and tracking environmental performance metrics.
- A Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, EMS) is a plus.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in environmental management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in the food and beverage industry is advantageous.
