Job Description
As the Executive Chef at XDT Restaurant and Club, you will be the driving force behind our culinary excellence. We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Executive Chef who will manage our kitchen operations with flair and precision. Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, food preparation workers, and dishwashers, ensuring a cohesive and motivated team.
- Operational Management: Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Administrative Duties: Handle inventory management, including stocktaking of food and equipment, and place purchase orders as needed.
- Performance Monitoring: Set performance standards for kitchen staff, monitor adherence to these standards, and provide regular feedback.
- Customer Relations: Obtain and act on feedback regarding food and service quality, addressing any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Quality Control: Ensure the promptness, freshness, and quality of all dishes served, coordinating tasks among cooks to maintain consistency.
- Hygiene and Safety: Implement and enforce hygiene policies, and regularly inspect kitchen equipment and facilities for cleanliness and safety.
- Menu Development: Design and create new recipes, plan seasonal menus, and select plate presentations that align with our brand's vision.
- Staffing and Efficiency: Review and adjust staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial objectives, ensuring optimal kitchen performance.
Requirements
- A relevant culinary qualification and 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven track record of managing kitchen operations and leading a team.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of quality.
- Creative flair and a passion for culinary arts.
Salary
N70,000 - N80,000 Monthly.
