Job Responsibilities
As a Field Support Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high quality and reliability of FiberOne Broadband's services. Your responsibilities will include:

Installation and Setup
- Install and configure fiber optic cables, connectors, and related equipment in both residential and commercial environments.
- Ensure all installations meet FiberOne's standards for performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Network Maintenance
- Perform regular maintenance checks on fiber optic networks to guarantee the smooth and continuous delivery of services to customers.
- Address minor issues proactively to prevent service disruptions.

Documentation and Reporting
- Keep detailed and accurate records of installations, repairs, and routine maintenance activities.
- Ensure documentation is up to date and accessible for future reference.

Customer Support
- Provide excellent technical support to customers, addressing any concerns or issues related to their fiber optic services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity or technical issues promptly.

Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards when working in the field.
- Ensure that safety guidelines are followed during installations and repairs to maintain a safe working environment.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
- Identify and resolve any technical issues that may arise with fiber optic connections, such as signal loss, cable damage, or connectivity problems.
- Work with the technical team to implement effective solutions to complex issues.

Performance Testing
- Use specialized tools and equipment to test the integrity and functionality of fiber optic cables and connections.
- Conduct thorough tests to ensure all systems meet the required performance standards before completion.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the installation, maintenance, or support of fiber optic networks is preferred.
- Knowledge of fiber optic tools and testing equipment is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field.
