Position Overview: As a Finance Assistant at Infratel Africa, you play a pivotal role in bolstering our financial operations. Collaborating closely with the finance team, your precision and attention to detail contribute significantly to the company's overall financial well-being and success.
Key Responsibilities As a Finance Assistant
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process vendor invoices and employee expense claims with a commitment to ensuring timely payments.
- Collaborate in ensuring a seamless month-end and year-end closing process.
- Assist in the preparation of essential financial reports and schedules.
- Reconcile supplier statements, addressing any discrepancies.
- Manage accounts receivable, including the generation of customer invoices and tracking payments.
- Accurately and efficiently enter financial data into the accounting system.
- Maintain and update financial records, including transactions, receipts, and disbursements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and conduct variance analysis.
Financial Analysis:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations, providing support during internal and external audits.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Preferred OND in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive attitude, ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Advantageous to have proven work experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Familiarity with accounting systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information.
