Since April 2016, PUI’s Nigerian Mission has been active in Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC), focusing on urgent needs including food security, primary health care, and nutrition for Internally Displaced People (IDP) and host communities.
We Are Recruiting: Finance Assistant

Job Summary
The Finance Assistant will support the Finance Officer/Admin Manager with finance and cash management activities. Responsibilities include maintaining financial records, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Verify invoices and ensure compliance with PUI regulations.
- Issue voucher numbers and archive invoices and Saga vouchers.
- Assist with external audit preparations.
- Record cash expenses and manage financial documentation.
- Oversee electronic and physical archival of finance records.
- Manage the cashbox and process payments.
- Ensure adherence to cash security procedures and accountancy standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Fluent in Hausa and English; intermediate Kanuri is a plus.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
