Job Summary
The Finance Coordinator oversees all financial operations of GOALPrime Organization, ensuring efficient budget management, financial reporting, compliance with donor regulations, and internal policy adherence. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial health and accountability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures for efficient operations.
- Oversee project and organizational budget preparation and management.
- Monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation and recording of all financial transactions.
- Conduct financial analysis to provide insights for decision-making processes.
Compliance and Audit
- Ensure compliance with donor regulations, organizational policies, and legal requirements.
- Coordinate external and internal audits, implementing recommendations to enhance financial practices.
- Manage cash flow and banking operations, maintaining relationships with financial institutions.
Capacity Building
- Provide training and support to program and finance staff on financial management practices.
- Develop and share financial tools and resources to enhance staff capacity.
- Stay updated on best practices in financial management and compliance.
Risk and Grant Management
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with organizational operations.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure effective financial systems.
- Monitor grant expenditures and prepare financial reports for donors, supporting budget preparation for grant proposals.
Team Management
- Lead and manage the finance team, assigning tasks and providing guidance and support.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and plan future activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
