Job Description
GE Gas Power is seeking a Finance Trainee to join the SSA Finance team, currently transforming financial monitoring and reporting. You will play a crucial role in organizing various project scopes, collaborating with multiple teams, and delivering optimal solutions. At the end of the 8-month period, successful candidates will be assessed and may be offered full-time roles within Finance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business unit teams to identify needs, communicate project approaches, and present outcomes.
- Understand key business drivers to effectively complete tasks while recognizing how your team’s work integrates with others.
- Contribute to diverse projects and assignments to enhance leadership, business acumen, and technical skills.
- Work in a team environment or under the guidance of an Assignment Manager.
- Utilize strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues and business units regarding design and coordination.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with a minimum second upper class or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of experience in Finance and Accounting (including internships).
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Finance or Accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Understanding of major financial statement reports.
