Job Summary
As a Finance Officer at TotalEnergies, you will be the primary contact for internal control issues within the Finance Division. Your role will focus on effective monitoring of fixed costs, ensuring expenses remain within the approved budget, and providing accurate, timely financial reports. You will ensure strict adherence to internal controls, contributing to the smooth financial operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities

Cash Management:
- Ensure timely replenishment of petty cash imprest to facilitate daily operational expenses.
- Monitor cash advances and report them to the Head Office.
- Track and report cash balances in the ledger on a daily and monthly basis.
- Post petty cash vouchers and reconcile with the general ledger balance.
- Monitor and manage the budgets for various locations (Ibadan CSC, Ilorin CSC, and Training School), ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.

Treasury Management:
- Regular posting of POS reversals from bank reconciliation statements received from the Head Office on a daily and weekly basis.
- Process invoice cancellations for CSC as approved by the Sales Admin Manager.
- Timely lodgment of customer cheques from GTE to various banks, with a target of 20 lodgments per month.
- Correct any mispostings in the stations' accounts, aiming for 200 monthly corrections.
- Post debit and credit note documents for stations and GTEs, with approximately 200 transactions processed each month.

Company Creditors:
- Review and approve purchase requisitions for LPO, processing vendor bills of up to N5 million (USD 12,000 monthly).
- Post transactions via the Shared Service Centre (SSC) and forward contractors' invoices to the Head Office for payment processing, handling about 100 invoices monthly.
- Clear transporter balances monthly and ensure the proper posting of utility bills for the Sales Area.
- Process staff claims for payment through the Head Office, with around 150 vouchers processed each month.

Stock and Asset Management:
- Monitor monthly stock-taking activities, input data into SAP, and generate variance reports for VMS and owned depots.
- Oversee stock-taking exercises for spares and station consumables, ensuring accurate reporting to FAD.
- Verify the accuracy of the fixed assets register from the Head Office against physical inventory in the Sales Area.
Candidate Profile
- A BSc or HND in Accounting or a related field, with at least 3 years of post-graduate experience in finance.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SAP.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Context & Environment
- The Ibadan Sales Area is known for its peaceful environment, free from political disturbances.
- It spans three key states: Oyo, Kwara, and Osun, covering a significant geographical area.
- Financial records are maintained on a fully integrated, online ERP system (SAP), ensuring streamlined processes and transparency.
