Job Description
- Gather and monitor financial data such as sales revenues and liabilities.
- Prepare comprehensive budgets for the entire company and individual departments.
- Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information.
- Conduct detailed risk analyses to evaluate potential investments and financial opportunities.
- Analyze financial trends and provide insights to guide strategic decisions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets and income statements.
- Forecast costs and revenues to assist management in making informed financial decisions.
- Manage tax payments and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Organize and oversee internal audits to enhance financial controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications
- A degree in Accounting/Finance; an MBA is preferable.
- Industry background preferred in Retail/FMCG/Oil & Gas sectors.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification is required.
Skills
- Proficiency in applying IFRS principles and conducting reconciliations.
- Extensive experience with ERP systems.
- Strong capability in transaction review and routine financial reporting.
- Competence in fixed assets management and oversight of transactions (AP, AR, GL, treasury).
- Operations and commercial literacy with attention to detail and process orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Self-starter with a sense of urgency and strong follow-up skills.
- Expertise in cash flow reporting, banking relations, and periodic control reviews.
- Experience in the revaluation of foreign currency-denominated balances.
