  • Facilitating the connection of TGI brands with Nigerian consumers by overseeing sales, marketing, and logistics for all TGI Companies operating in the consumer sector.
  • Leading the development of new products from conception to market, employing extensive market research to identify consumer needs, conceptualize ideas, gather insights, plan brands, develop logistics, launch products, and execute sales strategies.
  • Cultivating an organization with top-tier international talent and a dedication to acquiring and implementing the best global practices.
  • Providing a robust training and development platform for local youth.

We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Financial Accountant, located in Ilupeju, Lagos. This is a full-time position.

About The Role:

Inventory:

  • Prepare daily stock status reports, identifying variances and providing explanations.
  • Create monthly and year-end Inventory Schedules reconciled to general ledger accounts.
  • Offer explanations to both internal and external auditors regarding inventory-related inquiries.
  • Manage monthly and year-end stock taking, including reconciliations and stock adjustments.
  • Monitor and assist outlets with low and stock-out warehouse locations.

Fixed Asset:

  • Generate capex for approval and maintain adequate documentation of PPE records.
  • Prepare PPE Schedules reconciled to general ledger accounts.
  • Produce Capex/budget variance reports.
  • Ensure all company assets are tagged for verification purposes.
  • Ensure purchased PPE are recognized in line with company policies and financial reporting frameworks.
  • Calculate monthly depreciation of PPE and post to relevant ledger accounts.

Insurance:

  • Review insurance cover monthly and provide information on additional cover.
  • Recognize insurance expense monthly for financial reporting purposes.
  • Maintain adequate records of insurance covers for audit purposes.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Financial Controller.
  • Ensure data is processed for its intended purpose and maintain absolute confidentiality when handling personal data. Obtain consent from data subjects before collecting, processing, and using data.

Education / Experience & Other Requirements:

  • Minimum of a BSc in Finance/Accounting or related discipline.
  • Proficiency in IFRS, Inventory, and PPE management.
  • Strong data gathering, analysis, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the FMCG sector.
  • Relevant Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA) required.
