We provide grants sourced from private and institutional donors to local partners who implement these grants based on detailed contracts outlining implementation, accounting, and reporting standards.

Job Title: Funding Manager

Responsibilities
- Identify and assess funding opportunities from institutional donors, focusing on international humanitarian donors.
- Support CBM’s readiness and contribute to internal stakeholder capacity building for ECHO funding applications.
- Ensure timely execution of donor contracts and proper handover to the Project Delivery team.
- Monitor funding realization and internal reporting.
- Collaborate closely with Regional and Country Offices, CBM Initiatives, and other departments for all institutional donor funding-related tasks.
- Ensure efficient use of CBM IT systems in institutional fundraising contexts (funding/development process and donor interactions).
- Communicate suitable funding opportunities with relevant internal stakeholders for Go/No-go decisions.
- Manage the proposal development process.
- Support project planning for institutional donor-funded projects.
- Identify potential consortia partners and formalize partnerships.
- Maintain relationships with existing and potential consortia partners.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field of study.
- Proven experience in securing funding from international humanitarian donors (e.g., ECHO, PRM, BHA, UN OCHA).
- Entrepreneurial mindset and team-player attitude.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills in English (German and French are advantages).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally (approx. 5% of working time).
- Responsible, agile, and flexible working style.
- Identification with Christian values and the CBM mandate.
- Ability to autonomously manage efficient and effective processes involving stakeholders.
- Practical international experience in development cooperation is an advantage.
