Responsibilities
Security & Control
- Conduct regular rounds around MdM premises to deter external intrusion.
- Quickly alert those in danger in case of an intrusion and contact your supervisor immediately using available communication methods.
- Open and close the gate for the entry/exit of individuals or vehicles.
- Monitor visitor entry and exit in the secure area, adhering to MdM rules (including obtaining permission from MdM officials and filling out the entry/exit log).
- Report any incidents occurring during your shift, along with any information relevant to mission safety.
- At the end of your shift, provide a physical inspection report of the base to the incoming guard; do not leave until the next shift arrives.
- Always wait for the incoming guard before leaving the post and ensure the premises are never unattended for any reason.
- Conduct a safety device check to ensure everything is in place (closed doors, lights, fire extinguishers, radios, flashlights, generators, fuel reserves, and water); notify your supervisor of any discrepancies.
- Ensure that no one enters the enclosure without permission and that MdM rules are followed (no weapons, registration required).
- Confirm that access doors are secured during non-working hours.
- Prevent any MdM materials from leaving the compound without logistician authorization.
Other Duties
- Be flexible in performing your responsibilities.
- Immediately inform the security focal point of any security concerns.
- Carry out additional tasks as requested by the country representative and Logistics Officer at the base.
Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 Monthly.
