Job Description:
The Head of IT Governance & Strategy plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless alignment of IT strategies with the overarching business objectives of the organization. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to identify and prioritize IT investments, manage budgets, and oversee the performance of IT projects. By establishing and maintaining IT governance frameworks, managing IT risk and compliance, and driving strategic initiatives, the incumbent ensures optimal utilization of IT resources to foster business growth and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing IT policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Monitoring and enforcing compliance with IT policies through regular audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives.
- Continuously improving IT governance practices by identifying areas for enhancement and staying updated with industry best practices.
- Managing IT controls to protect company data and systems, including user access controls and security measures.
Experience & Educational Qualifications:
- University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Management.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Evidence of continuous professional and personal learning and development.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks and best practices.
- Ability to develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business goals.
- Proficiency in risk management, compliance, and financial management.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and their business impact.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
- Familiarity with IT project management methodologies and data analysis techniques.
