Amani Advisory Limited is recruiting for its client, a company specializing in the marketing and distribution of electronic and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) products. We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Finance to join our team in Lekki, Lagos. This is a full-time position.
Job Description
As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the overall financial management of the company. Your role will include maintaining and improving financial systems and procedures, overseeing accounting, auditing, reporting, and tax management. You will play a crucial role in budgeting, forecasting, and managing the company’s working capital.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to drive growth and profitability.
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
- Supervise accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Provide guidance on revenue enhancement, cost reduction, and profit maximization.
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
- Cooperate with auditors in preparing audit reports.
- Ensure financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups as needed.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Manage payroll and tax procedures.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting systems.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including cash flow, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
Person Specification
- Chartered Accountant (ACCA or ACA) qualification is mandatory.
- A Master’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration is preferred.
- Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Accounting Software, ERP systems).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a CFO or equivalent in a mid-sized company.
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Salary
N500,000 per month.
