We are currently seeking to fill the following position:

Job Title: Health and Safety Executive (HSE)

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

• Risk Assessment and Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk assessment and management strategies for new projects, processes, and activities.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance on HSE matters to management, employees, and stakeholders. Serve as a resource for HSE-related inquiries and concerns.
• Regulatory Liaison: Liaise with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and external stakeholders on HSE matters. Represent the company in HSE-related meetings, forums, and conferences.
• Safety Culture Promotion: Promote a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Foster awareness, engagement, and accountability among employees and stakeholders.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain records and documentation of HSE activities, inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
• Safety Audits: Conduct risk assessments and safety audits of subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure compliance with HSE requirements and expectations.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or master’s degree in any Engineering-related field.
• Skills and Experience:
  • Proficiency in Inspection & Audits, Incident/Accident Investigation, and Reporting.
  • Strong skills in Intermediary Liaison and Client Relationship Management.
  • Excellent Decision-Making, Team Building, Recommendations, and Advisory abilities.
  • Knowledge of Safety System & Practices, Hazards Survey, and Tracking Systems Data.
  • Familiarity with EMS ISO 45001 and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
• Software Proficiency:
  • Microsoft Office Package.

Salary

• Range: N500,000 - N800,000 monthly
